This is a large scale ceramic tile mural done in Oct 07 on a bike trail underpass.
...and 3 days later, they tried to chip it all off.
If I gave my pieces awards, this one's would be "Would-be saddest thing to happen to a work"
But I let it roll off. I enjoyed doing it. I enjoy the memory of it.
I think someday, I'll go back and try something else. I'm thinking of slyly using it in a proposal. The board would be like "Hey... wait... didn't someone already do this?" It'd be even more ironic/funny if they approved it.
Either way, this spot really needs to be filled.
